My project box

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to bring back in the DIY element to my blog. I really miss sewing and stuff like that so I'm going to try to do a project every week. To kick start it all, here's a brief glimpse into my mounting project box. It's so overwhelming, I don't know how I'm going to get through it all! I don't have ideas for everything in there but I do have some exciting ideas for my favourite items, so lets take a look shall we?

This is probably my favourite dress in the box. I got it in charity shop a few weeks ago for a fiver, I think it's originally from Dunnes. The problem with this dress is that the hem of the slip is longer than the dress itself so I'll have to fix that. It's also a very pale pink and since my skin is pale, it makes me look even paler so I think I'm going to dye it a darker shade of pink. I'm not sure whether I'll do an ombre effect with it or just do an all  over pink.

There are so many shorts revamps that I could do with these but I have one in mind that I just can't wait to try! I think the DIY that I have in mind will look better with high-waisted shorts so I'll see if I can find some high-waisted ones so I'll see if I use these or not, probably not!

I love this skirt so much but it doesn't fit! I think I got it in H&M like 2 years ago and have never worn it. It's a medium  but the waistband is HUGE! I'm not sure how I'm going to make it smaller without destroying the skirt but I'll keep you posted on how it goes!

I think this dress is so beautiful! My mum gave it to me a little while ago. She has never worn it, as you can see by the label! I don't have and idea for this dress but I just thought I'd show it to you anyway because I love it so much!

I'll probably do a part 2 of this post because as of today I have two new dresses to add to the box and I'm sure if I can get my creative juices flowing I can come up with more ideas for other items.

Am I the only one with an overflowing project box or are there others out there?

  2. I have so many old/unworn clothes that need some DIY care - you've reminded me to add this to my summer to do list!
Also I think you should do an ombre effect on the 1st dress. It would look so nice.
